0-8 hundred–The crew meets at the fairgrounds to pick up our canopies (that they so graciously store for us all year-round) and brings it all to Central Park for the eager volunteers waiting to sweat for a few hours.
Then over to our storage unit to pick up more.
Before all this a crew has picked up barricades and misc signage and has dotted the downtown with all manner of directional instruction: Shuttle, FREE, Parking FREE! STOP, Road Closed, Left Turn DENIED.
And then everyone descends on Central Park at about the same time: volunteers, artists, food booths, curious lookers-on. Chaos. Banners to be hung, flower pots to be placed, many questions to be answered.
If only a stop action camera were photographing it all, it would be a sight to be seen! Alas.
And then on Sat. you all come.
