Thus, we want your experience to be that way from start to finish: Feel great as you bring your two cans to the food drive, walk the park taking in everything and then have a nice meal in our Eco-Smart Food Court. For some, recycling can be a “head scratcher.” To make things as simple as possible, we’ve asked all our vendors to use compostable serving ware. Local manufacturer and sponsor partner EcNow Tech sells these wares, and they work with Allied Waste to ensure their products break down in Allied’s composting facilities. Plates, cups, silverware and straws are made of corn and sugar cane. So, at the end of your meal, EVERYTHING (except recyclables) can just go in the bins for composting. To make it even simpler, volunteers from Love, Inc., and OSU Master Recyclers will be available to point you to the right containers. What could be easier?
Thanks to all for helping our event be sustainable by sending less of our weekend’s activities to the landfill.

Will there also be sweet characters for the kiddos to check out, identifying each can for either trash, recycling, or compost? I helped out with the Davinci Days recycling, and they had some characters set up to identify each.
